The play selection committee of Risselton Amateur Theatre Society (R.A.T.S.) meet on-stage to
decide their next production. Rival playwrights Dennis and Alex are daggers drawn. Alex is cadging
votes for his socially-meaningful play. Dennis is canvassing for "shallow theatre for shallow people."
The evening is further complicated by missing earrings, a burgeoning romance, and the end of an affair.
